Yes, it may not be the most important skill to have on your resume, but it can be a valuable thing.Many people feel intimidated when they start to write their own resume. Writing a resume is one of the first things that they will do in their new life as a professional. They have to be confident and secure in their abilities before they can even begin to write anything.Now, don't despair! As I mentioned above, the ability to write can be a valuable skill. This does not mean that you should be writing in any particular style or that you should write anything except the truth.Writing skills can make a huge difference when you are applying for jobs. If you lack the skills, employers will go with somebody else who has the right skills. However, if you have the skills and are simply nervous about writing, there are many resources that can help you.First, you can get some books on how to write. For example, there are several guides for writers that will tell you how to write an effective resume and cover letter. If you are not a writer, you can also go to Career Builder or LinkedIn and find writing skills on resume articles, skills on cover letters, and everything else related to writing for jobs.The best way to improve your resume is to take notes. After you read it, take notes of what you liked and what you didnot like. You should be able to put these notes into bullet points or a word document. When you are making an MS Word document, make sure that it is organized properly so that it is easy to read.Also, keep your resume and cover letter short and easy to read. Your resume is no t a sales page and should not be more than one page.On the other hand, you should also make sure that you have skills on your resume that are relevant to the job that you are applying for. Also, you should apply for the job that you are really interested in. This is another way of improving your resume writing skills.
